Goats, hens and donkeys that change the lives of Maasai women.

To get out of poverty, Maasai women and the widows in particular, need to have enough regular sustainable economic resources.

The animals we give them help the women to come out of extreme poverty, improving their lives having the possibility to generate income in a regular way.

Thanks to a goat, a Maasai widow can give milk to her children and grand children and with the future kids generate some income.

With a hen, they can have eggs almost daily.

Donkeys: the maasai women go daily to ponds that in most cases are further than 10km away to collect dirty water and bring it back on their backs, to use it for drinking, cooking and washing.  They also walk long distances to collect fire wood with which they can cook and boil the water.

A donkey is mostly a luxury that aliviates carrying the heavy loads and improves their quality of life.  They are also very useful to carry sick people , specially in the rainy season when it is impossible to access the villages.
