Women literacy program
This fact puts them in an even more disadvantaged position in society, with few opportunities for improvement.
Objetives:
To teach the Maasai women of Arkaria, between the ages of 19 and 50 years of age, widows or married, to read and write organising classes to learn to read and write Swahili.We have employed two women who have been able to attend secondary school. They are responsible for teaching in a dedicated classroom in a place that is about 4 to 5 kilometres from the mayority of the women.
Benefitiaries:
Directly: 40 women working, 27 women in Arkaria, 12 in Lendikinya and 11 in Eluwai.Indirectly: 355 women from Arkaria, Lendikinya and Eluwai, their children and all the Maasai community.
